Mother and daughter share a heartfelt embrace on a sunny beach, expressing love and warmth.

I WAS A PRODIGAL!

I was a prodigal, though I didn’t think so. Looking back, I realize my mother’s prayers protected me through the years and brought me home. She has transitioned to heaven and now I pray for her remaining prodigals (certain members of the family) to come home as well.

My fictional story can be found in “The Rose of Cherry Hill.” (The details have been fictionalized and/or entirely invented to protect individuals and for dramatic impact, but the essence is truth.)

But this blog is not about me. This blog is intended to bring hope to those praying for prodigals, the mothers.

Each month, I will feature a praying mother whose prodigal has returned, a mother still waiting on a prodigal, or a prodigal who has returned home. During the featured month, I will explore their experience, strength and hope on a weekly basis. I will examine what it was like, what happened, and what it’s like now.

Hopefully, their testimonies will inspire you as they inspire me.

” They overcome by the blood of the lamb and the word of their testimony.” Revelation 12:11
