Welcome!
I’m Kathleen Higgins, and I’m so glad you’ve found your way here. I’ve always been drawn to words and the power of story, but my greatest joy is pointing people back to the one true story: God’s redeeming love through Jesus Christ.
My Story
I live in Texas City, Texas, in the home I shared with my beloved husband, Jim Dorsey, until his passing after a long illness. I grew up in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, and spent summers going “down the Jersey shore”, but Texas has become my adopted home.
Before writing, I worked as an assistant prosecutor in Camden County, New Jersey. That season gave me a deep awareness of the brokenness in the world and also of the hope and justice that can only come from God.
Writing
My fiction explores what it means to live faithfully in a world where spiritual battles are real, yet God’s victory is sure.
Through my characters and stories, I hope readers encounter both honesty and hope: reminders that Christ’s light shines brightest in the darkest places.
